Life
Saul of Tarsus, Pharisee of Pharisees, guarded the cloaks at Stephen’s stoning and set out for Damascus to destroy the Church — and met the risen Christ on the road. Three days blind, then baptized, he became the apostle to the nations.
Five times scourged, thrice shipwrecked, stoned and left for dead, he planted churches across the Roman world and wrote them letters that are Scripture. Beheaded at Rome under Nero, he had fought the good fight, finished the course, and preserved the faith.
