Bless: Scroll Catholic Bible · by Funn Apps
Privacy Policy
The Bless app has no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and what you read, save and write stays on your iPhone. Apart from the App Store itself, the only thing that leaves your iPhone is the app’s check with RevenueCat, which confirms subscriptions: an anonymous ID, your purchase history if you have one, and basic technical details. This website is different: it uses Google Analytics to count visits (see below).
The short version
- The app has no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and doesn’t measure how you use it.
- What you read, save and write in the app stays on your iPhone.
- Apart from the App Store itself, the only thing that leaves your iPhone is the app’s check with RevenueCat, which confirms subscriptions: an anonymous ID, your purchase history if you have one, and basic technical details.
- If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment; we never see your name or card.
- This website uses Google Analytics to count visits, which sets cookies (details below).
This policy covers the Bless: Scroll Catholic Bible iPhone app (“Bless”, “the app”) and this website, both made by Funn Apps (Funn Apps LLC, “we”, “us”).

What stays on your device
Everything the app remembers about you is stored locally on your iPhone and never transmitted to us:
- Verses you save and mark “Amen”
- Private notes you write
- Your reading history (the verses you’ve read and the chapters you’ve finished) and your streaks
- Your birthday, if you choose to give it, and your answers to the questions Bless asks when you first open it
- Your settings (translation, appearance, reminders, haptics and similar preferences)
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. Standard iOS device backups (iCloud or computer backups) may include the app’s data like any other app; those backups are governed by Apple’s privacy practices and your own backup settings.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Bless Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your name, payment details or billing address. Payment, renewal and refunds are handled by Apple and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
To confirm subscriptions, Bless uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. When the app opens, and when you buy, restore or check a subscription, it sends RevenueCat:
- an anonymous app user ID that RevenueCat creates for your copy of the app,
- your App Store purchase history for Bless: which plan, when it started, whether it is a trial, and when it renews or ends,
- and basic technical details the service needs to answer, such as the app version, the iOS version and your App Store country.
RevenueCat uses this to tell the app whether you have Premium, and gives us totals such as how many subscriptions began. The ID isn’t linked to your name, email address or Apple Account, we never ask RevenueCat to link it to you, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. Nothing about what you read, save or write is ever sent. Like any connection over the internet, RevenueCat’s servers see your device’s IP address when the app contacts them. RevenueCat’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.
If you never subscribe, the app still checks with RevenueCat when it opens, so it can show the plans and their prices, but there is no purchase history to send.
Study notes and on-device intelligence
The study notes in Bless were written in advance and ship inside the app. If a note isn’t available, Bless can write one on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device language model (Apple Intelligence). That processing happens on your iPhone; the verses you study and the notes generated for them are not sent to us or to any third party by the app.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device. If you start a free trial and ask to be reminded before it ends, that reminder is scheduled on your device too. We do not use push notification servers and cannot see whether or when you receive reminders.
Ratings and Apple’s reports
Bless may ask, at most once per version, whether you’d like to rate it, using Apple’s standard prompt. Any rating or review you leave goes to Apple.
If you have chosen in your iPhone’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated reports, such as how many people installed Bless or how often it crashed. Those reports come from Apple; the Bless app itself contains no analytics code.
Links to other sites
Bless and this website link to other websites for source material, for example the Catechism on vatican.va and manuscript texts on tanach.us and stepbible.org. When you follow such a link, you leave Bless or this website, and those sites’ own privacy policies apply.
This website
blessbible.app uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to measure visits: the pages viewed, the site that referred you, your browser and type of device, and your approximate location (such as country and city), which Google derives from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We look at the totals to see which pages are read and how people find the site.
To tell visits apart, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on blessbible.app, _ga and
_ga_JQDWHJFVJE, which are kept for up to 2 years. What it collects is sent to Google and handled under
Google’s Privacy Policy;
How Google uses information from sites or apps that
use its services explains more. This website shows no ads. We don’t use Google Analytics’ advertising
features.
To opt out, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block or delete cookies for blessbible.app in your browser; the site works the same either way.
The Bless app itself contains no analytics code, Google Analytics or otherwise. Everything in this section is about the website.
If you switch between Candlelight and Daylight, or between the CPDV and the Latin, your browser remembers the choice in its own local storage; it never leaves your browser. The company that hosts this site may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep it running and secure; we don’t use them to identify or follow you.
Children
The Bless app is suitable for all ages and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Apart from the App Store itself, the only thing that leaves your iPhone is the app’s check with RevenueCat, which confirms subscriptions: an anonymous ID, your purchase history if you have one, and basic technical details. On this website, Google Analytics counts every visit the same way, whatever the visitor’s age (see This website).
Your choices
- Delete the app to delete everything it stored on your iPhone.
- Turn reminders off in the app (Settings › Daily Reminder) or in your iPhone’s Settings.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone’s Settings (your name › Subscriptions).
- For questions about the purchase records RevenueCat holds for your copy of the app, write to us.
- Opt out of this website’s Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies for blessbible.app (see This website).
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Bless changes what data is handled, for example if we add an optional sync feature, we will update this policy and note the change in the app’s release notes before it takes effect. The previous version of this policy, effective August 31, 2026, said that Bless collected no data at all; that changed when Bless began using RevenueCat to confirm subscriptions, and the version of October 20, 2026 described what RevenueCat receives. This version, of October 29, 2026, adds the Google Analytics this website now uses (see “This website”); the app is unchanged.
