Bless: Scroll Catholic Bible, from Funn Apps, turns the Catholic Bible into a feed: one verse per screen, all 35,804 verses of all 73 books. Under each verse are quotations from saints and Church Fathers, each naming its source or saying plainly that none confirms it, plus Bishop Challoner’s notes and Catechism links where they exist. The whole Bible is free in the app, with no ads, no account and no tracking.
Bless: Scroll Catholic Bible is an iPhone app by Funn Apps (Funn Apps LLC), from FunnMedia, the studio behind WaterMinder. It sets the 73 books of the Catholic Bible in a vertical feed, one verse per screen under a gold illuminated drop cap, in the Catholic Public Domain Version or the Douay-Rheims. Its comments are the saints: 192 quotations from 59 saints and Church Fathers, each naming the work it comes from or saying plainly that no source confirms it, beside Bishop Challoner’s notes and Catechism links. Each verse opens into a Study page with its context, the Hebrew or Greek behind most of the Bible or the Latin of the Clementine Vulgate, and what it asks of you today. Today follows the Church’s year, with the US Mass reading citations and a saint for every date. The whole Bible is free and works offline; Bless Premium adds deeper study, Discover, widgets and private notes.

Accuracy
Before you write, the honest notes.
- The default translation, the CPDV, is in the public domain and has no imprimatur.
- The comments are quotations, never AI: 174 of the 192 name their source, and the other 18 are popular sayings marked “source unconfirmed”. Only a few were written about the verse they sit under; most are chosen by theme or from the pool.
- Hebrew & Greek covers 92.9% of the protocanonical verses, and none of the deuterocanonical books.
- Bless makes no claims about downloads, ratings or rankings, and we’d ask you not to attribute any to us.
