Life
An innkeeper’s daughter who became mother of Constantine, embraced the faith in old age, and used the empire’s resources as almoner of Christ — freeing prisoners, endowing churches. In the Holy Land she raised basilicas at Bethlehem and Olivet, and with the finding of the True Cross her name is forever joined.
