Life
An Aragonese princess named for her great-aunt of Hungary, married at twelve to a faithless king whose children by other women she raised. Her life’s work was peace: she rode between armies drawn for battle — her own son’s among them — and stopped wars three times. Widowed, she died a Franciscan tertiary, on a final peace mission.
