Life

A Genoese noblewoman married at sixteen to a wastrel, whose midlife conversion in a confessional turned her into mystic and hospital administrator at once — she ran Genoa’s great Pammatone hospital through plague years while living in profound union with God.

Her teaching on purgatory — the soul plunging itself willingly into purifying love — remains unmatched. Her husband, converted, died a Franciscan tertiary at her side.

Each quotation names the work it comes from. Bless quotes these in the comments beside the verses listed under In Scripture.
