Life
Eldest of ten in the most saint-crowded family of the early Church, who turned the family estate into a community of prayer and, by her brother Gregory of Nyssa’s account, made Basil himself humble. His dialogue On the Soul and the Resurrection records her deathbed teaching — the sister as the theologians’ teacher.
