Life

Two sisters of a Roman senatorial family whose betrothed apostatized in the Valerian persecution; the sisters would not, fled, were caught, and died — Rufina by the sword, Secunda after her. The place of their burial on the Via Cornelia was called the Black Forest; it became the White, from their glory.
