Life
Twin sister of Benedict, consecrated to God from childhood, who settled near Monte Cassino and saw her brother once a year at a farmhouse between their monasteries. At their last meeting she begged him to stay the night talking of heaven; he refused — the rule required return.
She bowed her head in prayer, and a storm broke so violent no one could leave until morning. When Benedict protested, she told him that he had refused her, so she had asked God instead — and God had granted it. Three days later Benedict saw her soul rise to heaven as a dove.
