Life
A young radical of Forlì who struck the papal legate Philip Benizi across the face — and, forgiven on the spot, was undone by it. He became a Servite priest, stood for thirty years in penance, and when cancer consumed his leg, prayed before the crucifix the night before amputation and woke healed. The sick have invoked him ever since.
