## Life

A Merovingian prince whose two brothers were murdered by their uncles for their inheritance; the child Cloud escaped, and when he came of age renounced throne and vengeance together, cutting his royal hair to become a priest and hermit. The village of his hermitage near Paris keeps his name: Saint-Cloud.
