And a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her home. - 39 And she had a sister, named Mary, who, while sitting beside the Lord’s feet, was listening to his word. - 40 Now Martha was continually busying herself with serving. And she stood still and said: “Lord, is it not a concern to you that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, speak to her, so that she may help me.” - 41 And the Lord responded by saying to her: “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled over many things. - 42 And yet only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the best portion, and it shall not be taken away from her.” Catholic Public Domain Version Read in the CPDV: [The whole of Luke 10](https://blessbible.app/bible/luke/10/) Computed by Bless from the US Lectionary cycle — confirm with your parish. In US parishes the readings are proclaimed from the NABRE; the text shown here is the Catholic Public Domain Version. Old Testament readings and the psalm are listed with a link to their chapter: the US Lectionary numbers some of their verses differently from the CPDV, so their text is not printed here. Psalm citations keep the Lectionary’s Hebrew numbering; the CPDV numbers the Psalms as the Vulgate does. Spotted a wrong date, color or citation?
