## Mass readings (US)

### First Reading: Jeremiah 17:5-8

Read in the CPDV: [Jeremiah 17](https://blessbible.app/bible/jeremiah/17/)

### Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 1:1-2, 3, 4 & 6

Read in the CPDV: [Psalm 1](https://blessbible.app/bible/psalms/1/)

### Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:12, 16-20

- 12 Now if Christ is preached, that he rose again from the dead, how is it that some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
- 16 For if the dead do not rise again, then neither has Christ risen again.
- 17 But if Christ has not risen, then your faith is vain; for you would still be in your sins.
- 18 Then, too, those who have fallen asleep in Christ would have perished.
- 19 If we have hope in Christ for this life only, then we are more miserable than all men.
- 20 But now Christ has risen again from the dead, as the first-fruits of those who sleep.

In US parishes the readings are proclaimed from the NABRE; the text shown here is the Catholic Public Domain Version.

Old Testament readings and the psalm are listed with a link to their chapter: the US Lectionary numbers some of their verses differently from the CPDV, so their text is not printed here. Psalm citations keep the Lectionary’s Hebrew numbering; the CPDV numbers the Psalms as the Vulgate does.
