## Mass readings (US)

### First Reading: Deuteronomy 4:32-34, 39-40

Read in the CPDV: [Deuteronomy 4](https://blessbible.app/bible/deuteronomy/4/)

### Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 33:4-5, 6, 9, 18-19, 20, 22

Read in the CPDV: [Psalm 33 (32 in the Vulgate)](https://blessbible.app/bible/psalms/32/)

### Second Reading: Romans 8:14-17

- 14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.
- 15 And you have not received, again, a spirit of servitude in fear, but you have received the Spirit of the adoption of sons, in whom we cry out: “Abba, Father!”
- 16 For the Spirit himself renders testimony to our spirit that we are the sons of God.
- 17 But if we are sons, then we are also heirs: certainly heirs of God, but also co-heirs with Christ, yet in such a way that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him.

### Alleluia: Revelation 1:8

### Gospel: Matthew 28:16-20

- 16 Now the eleven disciples went on to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
- 17 And, seeing him, they worshipped him, but certain ones doubted.
- 18 And Jesus, drawing near, spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
- 19 Therefore, go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
- 20 teaching them to observe all that I have ever commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the consummation of the age.”

In US parishes the readings are proclaimed from the NABRE; the text shown here is the Catholic Public Domain Version.

Old Testament readings and the psalm are listed with a link to their chapter: the US Lectionary numbers some of their verses differently from the CPDV, so their text is not printed here. Psalm citations keep the Lectionary’s Hebrew numbering; the CPDV numbers the Psalms as the Vulgate does.
